Peugeot Cycles Shows Its Latest Collection Of Three New Electric Bicycles
by AutoExpert | 4 July, 2023
Peugeot Cycles provided a sneak peek of their upcoming lineup of electric models, set to be released in late 2023 and early 2024.
There are three types of eBikes available: one designed for urban areas with a futuristic look, another suitable for families called the "Longtail," and a third one called the "Bi-Carrier," which is specifically designed for carrying cargo.
The V-shaped frame is utilized in the design of the Digital e-Bike, which is specifically intended for urban areas. The Digital e-Longtail stands out due to its extended back portion. The Digital e-Front Load is a versatile cargo bike that can be used for both personal and family purposes. It features a spacious crate on the extended front wheelbase, which has the capacity to carry up to three children.
Through a specialized smartphone app, the e-bicycles will get a slew of new capabilities, such as adaptive electric assistance, an alert, an anti-theft system, geolocation, destination weather forecasts, and route data.
Beweel, a start-up, will be responsible for the production and sale of the forthcoming e-bikes. Interesting fact: Peugeot reported that the sales of e-bikes in Europe hit an all-time high of 5.5 million units in the previous year.
