Nissan Z Gets a Facelift with New Body Kits from Japanese Tuner Impul
by AutoExpert | 17 July, 2023
Japanese tuning company, Impul, known for their innovative car modifications, has decided to take on the Nissan Z. While the sports coupe carries modern aesthetics inspired by vintage models like the Datsun 240Z, Impul has chosen to rev up its somewhat restrained design with an array of exterior body kits.
Impul has started by redefining the front fascia of the vehicle. Although the original has a neat look, Impul introduces an eye-catching upper spoiler priced at $872, which widens the car's frame, adding a flair around the grille. For better downforce, a splitter equipped with winglets can also be added to the front, priced at $952.
The sides of the vehicle aren't overlooked either, with side skirts, fender ducts, and carbon fiber mirror covers priced at $1,110, $317, and $382 respectively. Impul also provides modifications at the rear with a comprehensive rear diffuser coupled with Impulse mufflers for $1,666, and a large rear wing available at $1,428.
Even the car's interior receives a minor upgrade, featuring Impul-branded floor mats priced at $278, made from 100% flame-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and durable polypropylene.
While no upgrade packages for the engine have been announced yet by Impul, the company has revealed performance enhancements for the Z, including upgraded brakes with six-piston and four-piston calipers priced at $7,947, and an Ohlins Super Shock which is currently under development.
Other tuning companies like AMS Performance have demonstrated that the Z's 3.0-liter VR30DDTT twin-turbocharged V6 can be tuned to generate nearly 700 horsepower, allowing the sports coupe to clock a quarter-mile run in just 9.92 seconds at 137 mph.
For those who prefer a less aggressive style, Nissan is likely to launch the Z Nismo at the ZCON Festival in California. This variant is expected to sport a milder aesthetic while featuring performance enhancements over non-Nismo models.
