During the 2014year at least 56,000 electric cars have found new owners and leading positions preferred by the Japanese Nissan Leaf.
Now that assembly takes place in the UK car production and the costs have been significantly reduced, respectively, and decreased purchase price and this has favored an increase in sales of the Nissan Leaf. In total, they were sold no less than 14 658 units, which represent about 26% of the market share!
On the second position was ranked the Frenchman Renault Zoe with a total of 11,227 vehicles sold and thus secured a 20% market share. The top sellers of electric vehicles were ranked the Tesla Model S in third place after there were delivered, 8734 models! Since the model is close to the price of an Audi A6, over 8,000 units sold is an impressive result for an EV so expensive.
BMW with its i3 convinced only 5.804 customers but the reason may be that they reached in the showrooms late, thanks to the complexity of the model and in a relatively short period of time managed to impose a quota of 10%. Ranked on the fifth and sixth were occupied by the Germans from Volkswagen E-Up! A number of 5,363 sold models and the e-Golf with only 3,328 models.
