New Lada Niva Could Look Like This

The Russians have announced that they are working on a new Lada 4x4 a better known as Lada Niva. A series of pictures have been recently uploaded on the internet, revealing what the future model might look like.
The new Lada Niva will be built on a new platform, probably the one used by the new Duster. Moreover, it will be assembled at the same factory in Togliatti, where the current Renault (Dacia) is being produced.
The sizes of the car will be somewhere between the present Lada 4x4 and Chevrolet Niva (2,200 mm to 2,673 mm). Thus, the new generation of Niva will have a wheelbase of approximately 2,500 mm.
No technical details have been made public, yet, but the news says that there will be a range of petrol- and diesel-fueled engines.
