Mugen Introduces Aerodynamic Goodies For The Honda Civic Type R
by AutoExpert | 5 January, 2024
With years of experience in motorsport and tuning, Mugen plans to steal the show at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon with its redesigned Honda Civic Type R in Group A and Group B versions. These models have improved body kits and minor performance adjustments.
Group A pays homage to Honda's factory-exclusive Type R versions with a revised rear wing, modified side sills, and a more forceful front splitter. Group B, on the other hand, is on a whole new level with its carbon-fiber hood, larger front fender apertures, and flashy back with a massive wing.
Because of Mugen's dedication to computational fluid dynamics, these kits not only reinvent aesthetics but also maximize aerodynamics. Mugen is focusing on performance improvements in addition to the visual makeover.
New dampers and BBS-forged 19-inch wheels are fitted to both versions. While Group B is equipped with titanium pipes, updated brake calipers, and rotors, Group A is sporting an enhanced stainless steel exhaust and better brake pads.
Inside, the customized Honda Civic Type Rs sport bucket seats, a reworked shift knob, carbon-fiber inserts on the central console, and a new steering wheel with Mugen branding. Mugen is set to announce its pricing at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
