Mitsubishi's Legendary 4G63 Engine Has Received A Thrilling Upgrade From HKS

If you are the proud owner of a high-performance Mitsubishi vehicle, you are probably aware of the plethora of tuners offering kits for the 4G63 engine. HKS, however, stands head and shoulders above the competitors.

Let's get down to business. HKS has just released a top-tier upgrade for this engine that costs $12,000. With the aid of a new cylinder block and a minor increase in bore and stroke length, HKS was able to boost the engine's displacement from 2.0 liters to an astonishing 2.3 liters.

The Mitsubishi 4G63 engine has undergone extensive development, including expanding oil supply apertures to boost cooling and oil capacity. New rods have also been created to increase the engine's efficiency. The engine's compression ratio was increased from 8.8 to 9.0, and a new harmonic balancer was added. HKS, however, only provides the small block—not the full engine. Customers must independently obtain the remaining parts, including the turbocharger.
