Mitsubishi Motors announces a new generation of the Lancer

Vice president of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Don Swearingen, confirmed to the press that they have started developing a new model Mitsubishi Lancer. Even if earlier, the Japanese company was seeking a common partner for this project, it seems that Mitsubishi can not wait and start by itself!
It is not known yet when it will debut the new generation of the Lancer, as its design was repeatedly postponed for the same reason, lack of a partner. It seems that the time is pressuring the Japanese and the decision appears to be inappropriate. Even so, the new Lancer received the green light.
Meanwhile, Swearingen spoke of talks with another automotive manufacturer, and the press rumors that it could even be Nissan.
