Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series Ralliart Brings A Premium Style Upgrade
by AutoExpert | 5 December, 2024
Mitsubishi’s Ralliart name is famous in motorsports, but lately, it’s been more about style than performance. The latest example is the Montero Sport Black Series Ralliart edition, now available in the Philippines.
Despite its sporty accents, it remains the same rear-wheel-drive Montero Sport that has been around for a few years, with no actual performance upgrades. Looks-wise, it certainly stands out.
The Black Series is only available in White Diamond, and it gets black alloy wheels, glossy black fender flares, and red accents on the bumpers and mud flaps. The decals along the sides and the Ralliart badge give it that rally-inspired vibe. Meanwhile inside, things are mostly unchanged. The main update is the addition of floor mats with red piping.
The price includes Ralliart accessories like a cap, umbrella, and backpack. If you want more, you can grab them from Ralliart's online store. When it comes to performance, the Montero Sport Black Series Ralliart edition still runs the same 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine, putting out 178 hp and 430 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Mitsubishi chose the rear-wheel-drive model for this edition, skipping the 4WD option. Priced at ₱2,277,000 ($39,300) in the Philippines, the Black Series is ₱115,000 ($2,000) more than the standard model.
Mitsubishi’s Ralliart line first emerged in Japan in 2022 and has since expanded to other markets. Here’s hoping Mitsubishi will soon build on this, maybe with a more rugged version of the Triton or a production version of the Outlander Ralliart Concept. With the 2024 facelift, we anticipate the arrival of a new generation in 2025, likely based on the Triton pickup's platform.
