MINI knows how to create something small and beautiful. Afterward, this is what you get with the new facelifted John Cooper Works launched in Europe. The image gallery shows the new MINI in both the hardtop and convertible variants.
The new MINI JCW features the same design updates, but the differences are welcomed. Now, JCW features a much more aggressive front end that now hosts a bigger and visually pronounced front grille surround, a bumper strip painted in body color, and large side air intakes. The standard versions come with redesigned rear diffuser, and updated JCW models come with 17-inch alloy wheels and an optional 18-inch wheel version.
This MINI JCW carries under the hood a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and 320 Newton-meters of torque coupled to optional a standard six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle can accelerate on the manual transmission the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) from a standstill in just 6.3 seconds. The automatic mode accelerates the same distance in 6.1 seconds.
The convertible version of the John Cooper Works features an electrically-powered soft top that can be closed/open at speeds up to 18 mph (30 km/h) for a smoother tune from the twin 85 mm stainless steel exhaust pipes. The drop-top JCW Convertible has an exclusive new Zesty Yellow exterior paint.
Both models are defined by the sporty suspension setup and strong Brembo brakes with four-piston calipers upfront. There is even optional adaptive suspension with electronically controlled dampers, offering to both of them better ride quality and enhanced precision on the twisty stuff.
MINI succeeded in bringing on the market a JCW with a redesigned central instrument panel with a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen display, with a new operating system for more intuitive control. The interior sports seats with integrated headrests are also present, upholstered in Nappa leather along with the steering wheel with new multifunction buttons, grey contrast stitching, and a model-specific gear selector, no matter the transmission you opt.
Also, you can even opt for a MINI John Cooper Works with trim that offers alternative specifications, additional exterior and interior details pictured in high gloss piano black, Dinamica/leather upholstery in Carbon Black.
