Mercedes-Benz And BMW Team Up To Build A Massive Network Of Charging Stations In China

Mercedes-Benz and BMW announce China’s largest charger network! The two German automakers have formed a joint venture in which they own 50% of the shares and oversee this big project together.
The carmakers intend to have a total of 1,000 fast-charging stations with around 7,000 chargers installed by the end of 2026.
These charging stations were initially intended to serve Chinese Mercedes-Benz and BMW clients. Nevertheless, a joint statement from both companies says that they will be available to all electric vehicle owners.
This strategic partnership shows both companies’ commitment to boosting electric car sales in China and providing relatively cheap and easy infrastructure for charging them.
