Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Roadster Enters Final Testing Phase With New Photos Revealed
by AutoExpert | 29 August, 2024
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed roadster is in its final testing phase, and the company has just released new photos. First revealed as a concept in May, this roadster is the inaugural model in the exclusive Mythos series and is based on the SL.
Its design pays homage to racing, featuring a Halo system inspired by Formula One to protect passengers in case of collisions.
For added safety, the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed comes with two helmets optimized for aerodynamics. While the cabin photos show a largely unchanged interior from the base SL, they will include unique touches.
The infotainment and digital instrument cluster will both be 11.9 inches. Mercedes-AMG is currently testing the PureSpeed in northern Italy and will soon conduct high-speed tests at the Nardò Ring. The development team is focused on fine-tuning handling and ensuring that all systems and components function seamlessly.
The production of only 250 units will be exclusive to the most dedicated Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts and collectors.
