Finally, Hennesey announced the 7-seated Ram 1500 TRX dubbed Mammoth 1000 SUV and this modern-day version of the Ramcharger. As you've guessed it is based on the Ram 1500 TRX, but this one is an ultra-exclusive SUV with performance similar to a supercar.
Hennessey has plans to change the TRX's supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that delivers the usual 702 horsepower and 880 Newton-meters of torque, with upgrades for the supercharger, high-flow fuel injectors, an optimized air induction system, new catalytic converters, and a special HPE calibration.
This way, the Hennessey's output will be 1,012 horsepower and 1,314 Newton-meters of torque and could reach the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration in just 3.2 seconds. Also, the test drives for the quarter-mile show a result of 11.4 seconds at 120 mph (193 km/h).
As mentioned above the new truck will become a seven-seat SUV, equipped with bespoke bodywork, an extended roofline, and a sizeable rear window. Inside, the 7-seated will consist of a second-row of captain’s chairs and a folding third-row bench.
For a more drastic change, Hennesey includes a heavy-duty front bumper, with a 2.5-inch lift kit, and bigger 20-inch wheels encased in 35-inch off-road rubber. As a bonus, there are also LED auxiliary lights with a front suspension leveling kit.
According to CEO John Hennessey, the Mammoth 1000 is the “king of SUVs [meant to give its] customers the ultimate combination of space, power, and exclusivity.” The price for the strong beast starts at $375,000. Let's not forget that this is also 20 limited examples.
