Nissan has launched the all-new Townstar, which they are claiming as the next generation of light commercial vehicles. Nissan Townstar will be offered a gasoline internal combustion engine (ICE) as well as an all-electric BEV.
The new Townstar, which replaces the NV200 and e-NV200, is Nissan's most sophisticated LCV product to date. Nissan Townstar will be available in two variants: commercial and “combi” passenger.
The petrol engine will be a 1.3-liter Euro-6d compliant unit with 130-hp (96kW) and 240 Nm of torque. The electric version will have a 122-hp (90kW) motor with 245 Nm of torque. Although these stats are awaiting certification, Nissan states that the Townstar EV will have an endurance of 177 miles (283 km).
