Meet Porsche's Next-Level Cayenne GTS: Where Luxury Meets Speed
by AutoExpert | 22 April, 2024
The 2025 Cayenne GTS debuts in both the regular and coupe bodystyles, along with a plethora of new standard amenities, a responsive suspension setup, sharper styling cues, and an improved twin-turbo V8 engine. Let's begin with the 4.0-liter V8, that has undergone considerable upgrades. The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS now produces 493 horsepowerand 487 lb-ft of torque.
An improvement of 40 horsepower and 30 pound-feet over the previous Cayenne GTS is evident here. The eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, only used in conjunction with the twin-turbo V8, provides power to all four wheels thanks to the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system.
The PTM system has an independent cooling circuit that increases longevity while driving aggressively. The power boost somewhat improves the Cayenne GTS's acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and its peak speed of 171 mph. Seating 0.4 inches lower than the stock models, the GTS-specific arrangement is akin to the conventional two-chamber air suspension with adjustable dampers.
Thanks to the Turbo GT's pivot bearings and the front wheels' enhanced negative camber, handling is even better. Both the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and the active roll stabilization system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, are available as options. With tinted lighting units and GTS-specific bumper intakes evoking the Turbo GT, this vehicle is sure to turn heads. Tailpipes finished in dark bronze exude an air of refinement, while GTS insignia decorates the doors and rear.
Instead of body-colored trim, this GTS model has high-gloss black accents from the standard-fit Sport Design Package. Red brake calipers and anthracite-finished 21-inch RS Spyder Design alloy wheels complete the Cayenne GTS's eye-catching exterior. There is an adjustable spoiler on the back of the Cayenne GTS Coupe. More so, buyers have the option to choose one of three lightweight sport packages that may cut weight by as much as 55 pounds, substantially improving performance. Inside, you'll find a mix of leather and Race Tex upholstery accented with red stitching.
The package also includes an upgraded infotainment screen, a redesigned curved digital instrument cluster, a display for the optional passenger, and, of course, the Bose Surround System. Dealerships in the United States will get their hands on the first 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS vehicles this fall. Without taxes and fees, the starting price for the Cayenne GTS is $124,900, and for the Cayenne GTS Coupe, it is $129,500.
