Meet Manhart's Monster: The 2024 BC 400 Ford Bronco Unveiled
by AutoExpert | 1 September, 2023
While Ford's Bronco is an American icon, it’s far less prevalent in Europe. Manhart, a German tuning company famous for its work on BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz models, is adding its own touch to the Bronco, making it a bit more of a European sensation.
Limited Edition and Upgraded Engine
Named BC 400, Manhart’s iteration is a limited run, with only ten units ever seeing the light of day. Beneath the hood is a significantly amped-up 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, now delivering a staggering 420 HP and 500 lb-ft of torque.
This is backed by performance upgrades like an intercooler from Whipple/Ford Racing, aFe cold air intakes, and custom stainless steel downpipes equipped with 400-cell catalysts.
Off-Road Marvel
The BC 400 sits on Renegade R7 off-road tires sized at 35x12.5 R22. These rugged tires are mounted on 9.5x22-inch Manhart 12-spoke wheels, finished in matte black to accentuate the vehicle’s overall menacing aesthetic.
Visually Arresting
Visually, the BC 400 makes quite the impression. Starting life as a Bronco Badlands, Manhart has modified it to feature sun-yellow fenders, replacing the original black panels. A revised front bumper and seats swathed in black and yellow Alcantara leather complete the visually arresting ensemble.
Price Tag
The German pricing starts at $81,010 USD for a four-cylinder, four-door model. To put this into perspective, the 2024 four-door Bronco in the American market will set you back approximately $48,000 USD.
