by AllAutoExperts | 18 June, 2013
In the last months, we have been eyewitnesses of the debut of several models Shooting Brake, the latest concepts being even Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe, and Aston Martin Jet 2 + 2, which proves that interest in such projects is growing.
More recently, a few days ago have debuted with a new study design that aimed to transform a coupe-cabriolet into a shooting brake coupe. The concept which is based on Mercedes-Benz SL was called Coupetorino 2013 concept, a creation of six students from the Instituto di Arte Applicator e Design (IAAD) of Turin Italy, in collaboration with the design of studio Studiotorino. Bruno Arena, Michele Bavaro, Riccardo Cascone Luigi Stefano Manini, Dario Pellegrino, and Cristiano Zanot have proposed to transform a normal SL into an exclusive coupe, with the help of Steffen Koehl Global Advance Design department of Mercedes-Benz. The result is a layout scale of 1:4, which was presented at the Mercedes-Benz Design Center in Como on May 27, 2013. By the way, the study Coupetorino 2013 is remarked by the fact that it is a successor of the concept Coupetorino 2008, which was created in 2008 also by students from IAAD in collaboration with Studiotorino and Mercedes-Benz.
