Maserati MC Edition Enhances The V8-Sourced Ghibli, Levante, And Quattroporte
by AutoExpert | 3 February, 2022
The Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte have all been given the MC Edition treatment by Maserati. The Maserati Corse, or MC, is a nod to the brand's rich racing history. Only two colors are available for Maserati MC Edition vehicles: Giallo Corse and Blu Vittoria.
Blu Vittoria is a three-layer matte blue, whereas Giallo Corse has three layers of bright yellow. Maserati MC Edition range has Piano Black exterior elements and a specific insignia on the fenders and B-Pillars, regardless of the main color. Dressed in gloss black with blue-painted brake calipers, Maserati's Levante SUV moves on a 22-inch set of wheels, while the Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans get 21-inch wheels.
On the inside, blue carbon fiber trim, yellow and blue piping, and Nero Pienofiore black leather with denim details are found. The MC Edition emblem is engraved in the colors of the Italian flag on the headrests, and a similar plaque is placed on the center console. The automatic sunroof, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and the Driver Assistance Kit are all standard features.
The twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine with 580 hp (433 kW / 588 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque is exclusively coupled to an eight-speed automated transmission under the hood of the vehicles. Since Maranello will stop providing engines to Maserati this year, the Ferrari-sourced V8 is only good for a limited time.
Starting in February 2022, Maserati MC Edition line will be offered in the EMEA, APAC, and China regions. Customers in China, however, will receive the weaker twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 345 hp (257 kW / 350 PS), rather than the V8.
