Lexus has revealed the sedan concept LF-FC, which we expect in the future to become a new icon of the Japanese company - LS.
The exterior of the model corresponds to the new philosophy of the Japanese company called L-finesse. Judging by the size, we are dealing with a version of a luxury sedan, on a long wheelbase, since the length of the prototype is 5300 mm, width - 2000 mm, and height - 1410 mm.
The exterior design of the concept complies with the style, which debuted in the concept LF-NX. In front of the car we find a large grille, L-shaped LED running lights, and all-LED optic headlight, which strongly resembles the design of the headlights of the serial NX crossover.
The concept is equipped with 21-inch aluminum wheels with elements made of plastic reinforced with carbon fiber. Behind the car, we are facing an already familiar picture - lights in the form of double-L, separated by an elegant chrome line.
Judging by the way the LF-NX concept has transformed into a serial NX, the exterior of the future icon will become more aggressive and sporty.
The interior of the car is more futuristic than the exterior. The Lexus LF-FC Concept is completely "packed" with a large number of displays, which have replaced almost all of the usual controls. The car is also equipped with the latest HMI interface which supports the gesture control function.
To order to manage the multimedia and ventilation system, relatively simple manipulation of a small holographic "joystick", located on the center console is enough.
The concept is driven by a fuel cell, according to the recently adopted strategy of the Japanese company, which implies a shift from conventional internal combustion engines to alternative propulsion systems until 2050.
The fuel cells that feed the power unit of the LF-FC, are located in the rear part of the concept, while the power control unit is located in the front, reaching a balanced weight distribution.
The prototype also has a new intelligent all-wheel drive, which will optimally distribute the thrust of the power unit between the wheels of the car.
