Last Call For Adventure: Limited Subaru Legacy Outback 30th Anniversary Edition Hits Japan
by AutoExpert | 28 October, 2024
Subaru is saying farewell to the Outback in Japan with a special sendoff: the Legacy Outback 30th Anniversary Edition. Limited to just 500 units, this commemorative model combines fresh style and performance tweaks, giving the Outback a refined last hurrah.
This final edition stands apart with bold blacked-out features. Sleek 18-inch matte black wheels and black accents adorn the bumpers, fender arches, skirts, wing mirrors, grille, and roof rails.
Special 30th Anniversary badges add a unique touch, marking this as an exclusive edition. Subaru has upped the Outback's performance game, too. At the core of its handling upgrades are Hitachi Astemo SFRDs, carefully tuned by Subaru’s STI division for the front and rear, promising a smoother and more responsive ride.
Inside, the 30th Anniversary Edition is equally impressive. A top-tier Harmon Kardon audio system, featuring 10 speakers and a subwoofer for a rich sound experience, greets passengers. The cabin features plush ivory and black Nappa leather with silver stitching, while the door panels showcase exclusive “30th Anniversary” embroidery to highlight its rarity.
Subaru plans to hold a lottery if demand exceeds the 500 units on offer. Orders open on November 10 and will close in March 2025, but pricing remains under wraps. This limited-edition Legacy Outback is a fitting tribute, giving fans a final chance to own this iconic model in Japan.
