The Koreans from Kia brought to Geneva a concept called Sportspace. It comes as a preview of the brand's new design philosophy and of Kia Optima next generation.
Kia Sportspace is the concept with which the Koreans pleasantly surprised the public in Geneva. The car previews the next generation of Optima, long-awaited by fans of the brand, to be released in 2016. Sportspace concept appears to be a generously sized brake that aims to position the Korean manufacturer closer to the premium class.
It could also be a response to rumors launched a year ago talking about Kia's ambitious plans to enter the premium car class. Well, Sportspace is a break but will be available in sedan bodywork. The car presented at the motor show can only accommodate 4 passengers but let's not forget that it is a concept, which leads to the idea that the mass production version will have 5 seats.
Nothing is known about the engine but most likely the new model will be powered with gasoline, diesel, and hybrid engines. Moreover, the Koreans said it would be available in a full electrical version, a technology that debuted in Soul models. The new Kia Optima is expected in the fall of 2016 and at the Frankfurt Auto Show, they could already have a mass-produced version.
