A group of "nice" hackers did an experiment to see if they could attack a vehicle. They chose a Jeep Cherokee and landed it in a ditch. That sent
chills through the automotive industry! Increasingly, high-end automakers like BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are utilizing high technology as a method of competing with each other. Tech has been rivaling horsepower to draw customers.
As a result, Jeep has recalled a huge number of vehicles for modifications and other high-end automakers are reviewing their strategy as regards the possibility of a hacker attack.
So now we have to worry about our cars being the target of hackers in addition to our business and personal computer systems, and the automakers have the fear of someone being seriously injured as a result of some nerd hacker living in his mother's basement!
