Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 Basecamp Is Ideal For Adventurers
by AutoExpert | 25 May, 2022
If you're looking for an equipped truck, the Arctic Trucks AT35 variant of the Isuzu D-Max is the way to go. It served as the foundation for an unusual camper that Isuzu UK displayed at the CV Show. The newest product is called the Basecamp.
An iKamper SkyCamp Mini 3.0 roof tent is installed on the new Basecamp. The rear bed's aluminum Gearmate hardtop canopy is another addition. ARB Outback Solutions' adjustable roller drawer system is installed on the inside. It has a refrigerator, luggage storage, and a kitchen (with a 3-burner gas stove and a 12-liter sink).
You may also store the gas, water, and fuel canisters on the roof thanks to the ARB Base Rack system. The D-Max is styled with wide fender expansions, side steps, and 17-inch black alloy wheels wrapped in hefty 35-inch 315/70R17 mud-terrain tires.
A bull bar, extra lights, a roof-mounted LED bar, and a bonnet guard are also included on the Basecamp. The original 1.9-liter turbodiesel makes 162 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque under the hood. A six-speed manual gearbox sends power to all four wheels, with a six-speed automatic gearbox also possible.
The Basecamp is designed for demonstrative purposes. Those interested might, however, modify an Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 in a similar way. The AT35 starts at £47,999 in the UK.
