Geely's financial support and Volvo's engineering expertise have given birth to Lynk & Co, a Chinese startup that recently teased its upcoming vehicle, the 07 EM-P. This plug-in hybrid is ready to deliver a robust 585 hp, making it an appealing choice for sedan enthusiasts.
Despite a camouflaged appearance during cold weather testing, the 07-EMP reveals hints of its design, showcasing muscular bulges over the front and rear wheels.
While the camouflage conceals lighting elements, it's anticipated that the 07-EMP will feature Y-shaped headlights with a downward fork, a distinctive black trim line, and a grille positioned low.
Based on Volvo’s CMA Evo platform, shared with the Lynk & Co 08, the 07-EMP is set to offer versatility and performance. Although powertrain details haven't been officially disclosed, drawing insights from the Lynk & Co 08's options suggests a variety of choices, including a high-performance option with a total output of 585 hp.
Production of the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is expected to commence next month, with sales following shortly thereafter.
