Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Is All Set To Electrify The US Market

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is expected to be a cool addition to the electric car landscape when it launches in the US market in March of next year. Although this high-performance EV was originally shown in July in several parts of the world, the US public was officially introduced to it at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where it is creating a lot of excitement.

The Ioniq 5 N is a beast, with two electric motors capable of producing an amazing 641 horsepower. Even if the base power output is already impressive, the N Grin Boost feature, which allows for maximum acceleration for an incredible 10-second duration, is what really makes the pulse race.

The EV has a ton of software features that are designed to improve its performance. Take for instance its three distinct traction settings, the N Launch Control makes sure you can get off the line as soon as possible. Conversely, the N Pedal places more emphasis on having a sharp turn than energy efficiency.

The braking system, called N Brake Regen, delivers 0.6 g of remarkable deceleration. The N Race mode has two different settings, Endurance and Sprint, each specifically tailored for different racing circumstances. Features like N e-shift and N Active Sound + cleverly simulate the noises and sensations of an internal combustion engine mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

With its software fully optimized, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.25 seconds. It has a sophisticated 84.0-kilowatt-hour battery and an electronically capped top speed of 162 mph. It's important to note that it can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Compared to its base sibling, the Ioniq 5 N's design radiates athleticism. With its recognizable N-Mask front fascia and large rear diffuser, it clearly communicates its high-performance nature. Striking Luminous Orange accents on the side skirts and 21-inch forged aluminum wheels shod in Pirelli P-Zero tires are also notable additions. Performance Blue Matte, Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Ecotronic Gray Matte and Soultronic Orange Pearl are the color options available for the US market. Meanwhile, the interior is sleek black with chic Performance Blue accents.

Pricing for the premium Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited, which is now $54,685 for the 2024 model year, is anticipated to be surpassed by the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. With its unique combination of performance, power, and innovation, the Ioniq 5 N is poised to make a big impression on the American electric vehicle market.
