Hummer EV Takes Camping To A High-Sky Level
by AutoExpert | 8 August, 2023
In late March, GMC and EarthCruiser announced a unique collaboration to enhance the surface features of the Hummer EV, enabling owners to take off-grid adventures to new heights. Some intriguing additions include a pop-up tent and solar panels.
While the team has only released a shadowy image that barely reveals intricate details of the truck, the silhouette of the upgraded vehicle is visible, showcasing the rear half's pop-up tent.
The enchanting picture paints a scene of how the pickup might look on a dark, starlit night. A sight to behold, indeed.
The pop-up tent will not only offer shelter but will be equipped with storage compartments and floodlights to illuminate the area around the Hummer.
The original teaser hints that EarthCruiser will install solar panels on top of the housing. A hanging-off platform at the tent's end seems designed to provide an unobstructed view of the heavens above. Moreover, the teaser suggests an unidentified element between the bed area and the roof, leaving room for speculation.
What precisely EarthCruiser has up its sleeve remains to be seen.
Typical overlanding setups include everything one might need within a single kit, so it could be additional battery power, water supply, or something else entirely.
The production version is slated to hit the market at the beginning of 2024.
The unanswered question lingers: What will this remote home-away-from-home weigh when it finally reaches the market?
