It's all about car features that tempt the customer's attention and every automaker is trying to put an original one in each one of its cars. Lucid Air came up with a different approach and defeated the trend by opting for the Dolby's Atmos "Surreal Sound" system.
Lucid Air will be the first automaker's vehicle to use it and it promises a surreal sound for the drivers and passengers. The system is built to work through 21 speakers placed on the top of the passengers to create both a side-to-side along with an up and down immersive sound experience, according to Dolby.
Derek Jenkins, senior VP of Design, at Lucid Motors, stated that this will be an elevated, multi-dimensional sound experience paired with other Lucid innovations. This way Lucid explores the idea of creating a car for the future films and TV advanced technologies inside a vehicle.
So far, Dolby Atmos Music has been received the music industry's biggest paradigm shifts in the past 50 years. It's a great opportunity to apply it in the automotive industry through Lucid Air and considered an incredible experience for both parties.
The same sound system will be integrated into the operation of the vehicle. This means it's possible used all 21 speakers for the driver's assistance. For example, the unbuckled seat warning can sound from the direction of the unbuckled seat. Another possibility is the blind spot warning could come from the unseen vehicle to help the driver locate the danger. The same feature could be applied to the turn signal coming from the direction it's indicating.
The beauty of this unseen feature is that is unlikely from the design or next-generation technology, it's a futuristing engagement of all your senses and experience of the unseen. Watch the video and see more details about the next Lucid Air.
