Hongqi L-Concept Is A Contemporary Version Of Chairman Mao's Limo

To make a Rolls-Royce owner feel like a pauper, Hongqi, the preferred brand of Chinese Communist Party officials, debuted a concept car at Auto Shanghai 2021.
The exhibition vehicle, dubbed the Hongqi L-Concept, is a beautiful sedan with a fastback silhouette, suicide-style doors, and even suspended mood lighting with crystal accents, according to reports.
The cabin has a three-seat configuration, with two seats in the back and one for the driver. The main issue is that there is no steering wheel, implying that the concept is most likely a mockup of Hongqi's future self-driving automobile.
Some Chinese media have suggested that a production version of the Hongqi L-Concept might be released as early as 2023, however, no official information has been disclosed. The name and design of the idea indicate it is a prototype for a successor for the L5. The L5 was first launched in 2014 as China's official state automobile.
