The excitement surrounding the new Kia EV5 is hard to deny, especially now that we have an early glance at its outstanding final design and features. With only a few cosmetic changes, the model appears to have preserved its fascinating concept look.
The much-anticipated electric vehicle will make its world premiere at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 25. Finer side mirrors, softer door handles, a larger charging outlet, and adjusted LED headlights are among the modifications.
Notably, you can choose between 18 and 19-inch wheels, retaining the concept's eye-catching look. Meanwhile, the interior is anticipated to take style cues and high-tech amenities from the larger EV9. The 2024 Kia EV5 is built on the E-GMP platform, featuring McPherson front struts and a multi-link rear suspension.
The vehicle also has a Vitesco Automotive Electronics permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, which produces 215 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. The speedometer reaches 115 mph. It will also include BYD's Blade lithium iron phosphate battery pack; however, the exact range is unknown. The EV5 is currently being manufactured in Yacheng, China, but it will be exported to other countries as well.
