Haval Big Dog Gets A Brutal Makeover
by AutoExpert | 12 May, 2022
"Hunting Edition" is an updated version of Haval's Big Dog SUV, which debuted two years ago. The Big Dog's boxy silhouette is enhanced by the trim's off-road emphasis, which highlights the vehicle's daring capability.
The Hunting Edition's front has been reworked, with more plastic cladding. Headlight housings and the revised front bumper have been integrated into a bigger grille. The profile incorporates bolt-on fender extensions, new 19-inch wheels, and running boards. The rear end is revised with a modified bumper.
Meanwhile, the Big Dog's interior has Nappa leather upholstery for the seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and much more. The conventional Big Dog's engine remains the same, however.
It comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter motor that produces 168 horsepower or a turbocharged 2.0-liter motor that produces 208 horsepower, both mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. China's Big Dog range now sells for between ¥119,900 ($17,847) and ¥161,900 ($24,099). The Hunting Edition is projected to be more expensive.
