Hamann Modifies The BMW X5 M Competition To Become 'The Big Red'
by AutoExpert | 31 August, 2022
The performance-oriented BMW X5 M Competition SUV has been given a new vibrant paint job and matching highlights by German tuner Hamann GmbH as part of a series of cosmetic upgrades. Hamann's SUV is lower to the road thanks to a large front splitter with integrated fake intakes.
Red highlights can be seen on the new diffuser. As for the quad tailpipes, they are now covered in carbon fiber. A rear spoiler extension was fitted by the tuner to the upper portion of the body.
The wheels are another striking aspect of this BMW X5 M Competition. The multi-spoke 23-inch Anniversary Evo wheels are painted in glossy black with complementing red accents on the ring. Customers can also purchase them in black, graphite grey, and hyper silver.
A set of Continental Sport Contact 7 tires measuring 315/25R23 are also included, as are Hamann's lowered springs that reduce ground clearance by 1.6 inches at the front and 1.4 inches at the rear. The tuner customized the interior with a large red crest on the carbon-fiber center console and black insignia on the steering wheel.
Moreover, the inside has been spruced up with new features like sports pedals, stitched floor mats, and LED puddle lights that bear the Hamann logo.
Sadly, Hamann ignored the SUV's drivetrain. The fastest X5 M Competition is equipped from the factory with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 generating 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds with this much power.
If you want the tuner's modifications for the BMW X5 M Competition, you will have to pay $1,573 for the front spoiler, $2,683 for the side skirts, $1,073 for the back skirt, $1,083 for the diffuser, $882 for the rear spoiler, $629 for the reducing springs, and $6,625 for the 23-inch alloy wheels.
