Genesis GV90 Flagship Electric SUV Is Shown In Unofficial Drawings
by AutoExpert | 7 December, 2021
If the recent rumors are appropriate, the Genesis GV90 full-size electric SUV is presently in production. We haven't heard anything about the next model yet, but this report has surfaced before. As Genesis' flagship vehicle, the nameplate was expected to compete with the BMW X7 in the premium SUV market.
To help us picture how the GV90 might look, folks at Kolesa made some illustrations. Due to the lack of sightings of the alleged vehicle, the depiction follows the style of the Genesis G90, the Korean automaker's low-slung sibling.
The two-tier headlights that go over the front fenders and the chrome pronunciations that make the SUV's side profile stand out are there. The G90's huge Genesis mark is crammed onto the face of the imaginary SUV, while the full-size sedan's linking taillights adorn the hypothetical back tailgate. The form and general appearance are unmistakably reminiscent of the GV80.
Genesis GV90 is thought to be using the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) to save money on research and development. Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Genesis GV60 are all built on the E-GMP platform. Genesis GV90 is expected to be introduced by 2023, with a commercial introduction following a year later. That is, assuming we think the carmaker is working on the vehicle in question.
