Following the publication of performance data for the revamped truck, the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty maintains its incredible performance. The brand-new 6.8-liter V8 gas engine produces 405 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque.
Compared to the previous 6.2-liter V8, which had 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, this is a small gain. The 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 is still offered, but it now has enhanced air intake and an optimum tune. With these modifications, the output increases by 10 lb-ft to a best-in-class rating of 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque.
The 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine is back and still makes 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. The surprise is the introduction of a brand-new high-output model with enhanced exhaust manifolds, a special turbocharger, and tuned to perfection. This makes it able to produce 1,200 lb-ft of torque and 500 horsepower, which are best-in-class outputs.
All available powertrains include a 10-speed automatic gearbox. In addition, four-wheel drive is now standard on the XLT and above. Finally, Ford has revealed that the base price would be $43,970 (not including the destination charge of $1,795). Starting early in the new year, Ford will begin taking orders for the F-Series Super Duty.
