Ford F-150 e-Raptor Electrified Could Conquer The Siberian Snow Roads

The F-150 is becoming rapidly a legend and the test driving in extreme conditions and the recent teaser showing the next Ford's all-electric vehicle in the snow. Scheduled to start production in early 2022, yesterday came with a surprise - we got an F-150 battery-powered official reveal - the first brand's electric truck.

Despite being the brand's first all-electric truck in the line of all to follow, the 2022 Ford F-150 e-Raptor isn't much of an original vehicle. It's clear that the designers borrowed a lot from previous concepts. For example, the prototype features the front end adopted from the teased Ford face for the electric model, while the rest of it is pretty similar to the standard Raptor, just like the name suggests.

The e-Raptor comes at a time when it's not expected nor welcomed. Seems like the brand's fans might be disappointed with the all-electric version. Everyone was expecting the long-promised V8- powered Raptor R model. Even if there's still a real chance for the model to reach the market, the e-Raptor might easily outperform it.

The e-Raptor has a mind-blowing performance comparing even to the RAM 1500 TRX. It's been revealed that the model will have four motors one for each axle. Each motor can get out of the road independently in off-road situations. Imagine there could be more than 1,000 horsepower and 15,591 of torque possible. The four motors will produce 746 kW and 16,269 Newtone-meters of torque. It promises to be quicker than a GMC.

The battery details weren't revealed yet, but it was confirmed that the e-Raptor will feature a "Predator Mode" with a "Shock And Awe" launch control and the possibility to reach 0-60 mph (0-100 km) in less than 3 seconds.  There could be other original features developed especially for the e-Raptor, called "Jurrasic Drive". This one enables different drive settings - Herbivore for comfort, Omnivore for normal drive mode, and Carnivore for sport one.
