First Look At The 2024 Volvo EM90 Minivan
by AutoExpert | 24 August, 2023
Here's something that, to be honest, no one saw coming. Volvo is gearing up to introduce its very first minivan, labeled the EM90, which the company describes as a "Scandinavian living room on the move." Set to debut on November 12, the EM90 will become available for orders in China.
While many details remain under wraps, it's probable that the EM90 shares some commonalities with the Zeekr 009, a distinctively styled minivan under one of Geely's brand umbrellas.
This speculation gains traction from the strikingly similar roof design between the two vehicles. Key elements like door handles, antennas, side mirrors, and other features also seem unchanged.
Based on the SEA platform, the Zeekr 009 incorporates a pair of electric motors producing a combined 534 horsepower. Notably, its sizeable 140-kWh battery offers an impressive estimated range of 511 miles in the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle.
As a reminder, the Zeekr 009 spans 205 inches in length, 80 inches in width, and 74 inches in height, sitting on a substantial wheelbase of 126 inches. Available in either 2+2+2 or 2+2 seating configurations, the vehicle carries a substantial weight of 6,239 pounds.
