Farewell To The Manual: BMW's M3 MT Final Edition
by AutoExpert | 15 March, 2024
The M3 is still available with a six-speed manual transmission, but that should soon change, according to BMW. For that reason, the carmaker has just introduced a special BMW M3 MT Final Edition six-speed to the Japanese market, which will be the last one of its sort.
Production of the BMW M3 MT Final Edition model has ceased at 150 units. There will be a 50-unit manufacturing limit for each of the three exterior colors: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, and M Brooklyn Grey.
In May, BMW will conduct a lottery to determine the distribution if there are more than 150 interested buyers for the unique M3 MT Final Edition. As a standard feature on all versions, matte gold-painted 827 M-type wheels will be included, drawing inspiration from Roberto Ravaglia's E30 M3 DTM racing wheels.
Make a note of March 27th, at 11:59 p.m., since that's when BMW will begin accepting online orders for the new vehicle. The BMW M3 MT Final Edition's high price tag of 14.2 million yen—about $96,000 in US dollars—reflects its extreme rarity and exclusivity.
