We like independent tests and the more we like is when it can be seen clear, that not always the number of horsepower solve the problem. And today we have a new drag sample in which we can see the battle of the cars from the same area, the same acceleration and performance.
On the sheet, the technical specifications are almost the same. Although for greater objectivity in place of Sedan Audi S3 AWD, should have a S3 break, however, the authors assert that video is no major difference between the two bodies. So the starting line lined up again, the German rivals BMW and Audi.
Before you click the play button of shooting below, we would like to remind you that the two models are German state. The hot-hatch with three-doors, BMW M135i is powered by a six-cylinder, three-liter volume, which develops 326 horsepower delivered to the rear axle through automatic transmission with eight speeds and launch control. The sedan Audi S3 AWD is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbo-aspirated, but develops 300 horsepower (PS) and 380 Nm of torque around the motor. The advantage of the Audi comes the quattro system, while BMW enjoys a difference of 26 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque (450 Nm vs. 380 Nm).
Weight is very similar in both cars, reaching approximately 1,520 kilograms and as on the paper, both S3 and M135i catch the first 62 mph in 4.9 seconds at the finish line should reach both simultaneously. Well, not really. Who will emerge victorious, however, see below!
