Design Velkē, a Wisconsin-based restoration specialist, has unveiled an impeccable 1977 Porsche 911 RSR recreation, adding a new gem to the world of restomodded Porsche 911s.

While Singer may be the most recognized name in the realm of Porsche restorations, Design Velkē’s latest project demonstrates their exceptional craftsmanship, blending classic aesthetics with modern enhancements, and is currently on the market for $359,900.

A Visual Tribute to the Original

At first glance, this recreation closely resembles the authentic 911 RSR from the 1970s. Only true Porsche aficionados might spot the subtle differences. Design Velkē has undertaken an extensive restoration process, starting by acid-dipping the original structure.

The custom metal body panels were meticulously crafted, followed by priming in Detroit and a final paint job in a vibrant green hue. This vehicle has been reimagined as a driver’s delight, boasting numerous mechanical improvements.

Engine Upgrades for Enhanced Performance

Under the hood, the vehicle houses a custom-built 3.2-liter engine, packed with top-grade components like 98 mm Mahle cylinders, a factory crank, 911 SC cylinder heads, and GT3 main bearings. The power unit, capable of delivering over 280 hp, also includes new chain tensioners, bespoke valve springs, stainless steel headers, and an oil pump from a 996 911.
