Citroen Ami Electric Vehicle Gains Pop Trim For Added Style

Citroen's small Ami is not exactly a speed demon, with a peak speed of just 28 mph (45 km/h) and a meager 8 horsepower. The Ami has, however, succeeded in winning over many customers despite having little power—in only two years, it has sold an astounding 43,000 units.
Nevertheless, Ami drivers still want to create an impression, even if they may not be seeking fast thrills. In order to satisfy customers who want to give their micro-EV a little more flair, Citroen developed the Ami Pop trim.
A number of aesthetic upgrades are included with the Ami Pop trim, including four alloy-look wheel trims, a black graphic strip beneath the windshield, black front and rear bumper sections, a rear spoiler, and door and quarter panel graphics.
By replacing the stickers with a more lively design and adding a yellow feature that continues to the inside, where you'll find a yellow bag hook, the most recent generation of the Ami Pop has carried this concept even further.
In order to blend in with the other front-end trim elements, the 2023 Ami Pop now has black headlight bezels. This is the first time these bezels have been offered on the Ami Pop, while we've seen something similar on the Ami Buggy and Ami Tonic versions without doors. The earlier model without the bezels could seem a little incomplete when you've seen the redesigned face.
Additionally, Citroen has enhanced the Ami's ergonomics by relocating the driving selector from the door sill to the center console. Early in 2024, additional Ami variants will get this update, which positions the selector next to the ventilation controls and USB plug.
Citroen’s Ami demonstrates that there is still a place for a quirky, slow-moving tiny EV in the world of electric cars, where high performance and speed typically steal the show. Even if it's not breaking any land speed marks, it's definitely leaving its imprint on the world of urban transportation.
