Meet The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 MR
by AutoExpert | 19 March, 2021
Mathey Racing was busy preparing the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 for the race track. There's more of everything - suspension, upgraded brakes, and tweaked sharpen body.
Mathey Racing is famous for Nurburing Nordschleife racer, but their successful ad performant hobby is tuning Porsches. Its latest project was the 718 Cayman GT4 MR and upgrade for club racing events. The first test would be at the 'Ring and the tuner believes that it can perform well.
Manthey made small improvements to the body with a set of protective grilles for the air intakes, gurney, air deflector, and new wing brackets. There's also a new set of forged wheels with broad, Y-shaped spokes and a good finish. Mechanically, the tuner made its 718 Cayman GT4 version ride on coilover suspension.
The original Porsche Cayenne is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six outing 414 horsepower and 419 Newton-meters of torque. The 2021 model is actually available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. You can reach 0-62 mph in just 4.4 seconds and the top speed of 188 mph. The new brake pads are made out of steel flex at both the front and rear axle. Despite not being very extensive, these features are enough to sharpen the GT4.
We can't wait to see the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 MR in action on a race track. See below the test drive spotted last year in Nurburgring.
