Chevy Releases 1,004-Horsepower COPO Camaro
by AutoExpert | 20 December, 2022
The COPO Camaro, manufactured by Chevrolet, has a whopping 1,004 horsepower. It's the fastest and most costly Camaro ever made since it's loaded down with genuine racing technology. The one and only drawback is that it is illegal to drive on public streets.
The Chevrolet COPO Camaro will be available with a trio of powertrains. The standard option is a 427ci naturally aspirated V8 producing 470 horsepower.
An additional 600 horsepower comes from the 350ci supercharged V8. The top-of-the-line 632ci (10.4-liter) naturally aspirated V8 completely dominates the rest of the lineup. It will provide 876 lb-ft of torque to the back wheels in addition to the enormous horsepower number.
A 632ci COPO Camaro starts at $135,900, with an optional package costing an additional $30,000. 632 decals, a black bow tie insignia, Black Weld race wheels, and Hoosier drag racing tires are all included. Customers may place orders by calling the COPO construction centre, sending an email to Chevrolet, or filling out an online form.
