Cadillac has finally introduced the Optiq to the Chinese market. To start with, the Optiq has 114 built-in lights and a black crystal grille with a coordinated lighting sequence with the turn signals and headlights. A panoramic glass roof, flush-mounted door handles, and rain-sensing wipers are some of the great features included with the Cadillac Optiq crossover.
A motorized liftgate connects them, and the top trim level gets a black roof. With a wheelbase of 116.3 inches, the model's dimensions are 189.8 inches in length, 75.3 inches in width, and 64.7 inches in height.
Compared to the Lyriq, the model is approximately 7 inches (178 mm) shorter and has 5.5 inches less space between the wheels. A 33-inch curved display is standard on the inside, just as on the bigger model. In addition to ventilated front seats and a heated leather steering wheel, buyers will also get a heated rear seat. Notable features also include an AKG sound system, 126-color ambient lighting, and automated dual-zone temperature management.
Along with them come a computerized rearview mirror and a wireless charger for smartphones. There are two possible powertrains; the base model's 68.4 kWh battery pack gives it a range of 333 miles on the CLTC cycle. The battery powers a front-mounted engine with 241 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. This allows the crossover to reach a peak speed of 112 mph and accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7 seconds.
An extended-range model is also available to Chinese buyers; it has a bigger 79.7 kWh battery pack and can travel 373 miles. The larger battery is only one of the features that set this version apart from the others. Its dual-motor all-wheel drive system generates 283 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. The additional power and traction allow a sprint to 62 mph in under six seconds. Apparently, a fast charger can go from a 20% to an 80% charge in just thirty-three minutes, according to Cadillac.
The regular-range model can be completely recharged in 10.8 hours with a 7.2 kW charger at home, while the long-range variant requires 12.8 hours. Autonomous cruising, lane-centering, and frontal collision warning are just a few of the driver assistance features that come standard for buyers to enjoy. OnStar, blind spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition are also available. The top-tier model takes it to the next level with features like a head-up display and Super Cruise. Prices vary from ¥239,700 ($33,110) for the base Cadillac Optiq model to ¥269,700 ($37,254) for the long-range version.
