BMW i4 Will Be Offered In M Performance Version With A Bespoke Sound

BMW decided to expand its EV line-up with the i4 electric sports sedan. When the i4 was introduced in March, BMW stated there it will get an M variant. Unfortunately, they didn’t say much about it.
This is the first all-electric M model and there was always the question of what an M Division-developed EV but do you have the ears to listen to its roaring exhaust of the M5? Surprise, you won’t even have to, simply because the electric M models will have a unique sound especially created with the assistance of Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.
As you’ll notice in the video, the sound is nearly a noise that features an interesting noise that grows constantly imitating the car’s higher levels of power and acceleration. According to BMW’s statement towards their M models, the hush of electric driving offers an unprecedented level of comfort, offering an amazing driving experience So, a unique sound for electrified M models is “charged with extra energy.” BMW created different sounds for the car’s different modes while the “acceleration sparks a rich intensification of the soundtrack’s development, authentically reflecting the car’s performance character.”
“Every BMW has its own character, which is reflected in the sound it makes,” said Zimmer even confirmed that they developed for the electrically driven BMW M models, they have developed a driving sound which accentuates their emotional driving experience particularly vividly and ensures their performance can be felt with even greater intensity.
