Bentley's New Flying Spur Hybrid Is Its Cleanest Model Yet
by AutoExpert | 4 May, 2022
If you're looking for Bentley's purest and most efficient car ever, go no further than the Flying Spur Hybrid luxury sedan. Customers who care about the environment have an option for the V8 and W12 motors in the plug-in hybrid V6 drivetrain.
The average CO2 emissions are restricted to 75 g/km, which is a new low for a Bentley and lower than a normal supermini, according to official WLTP assessments. The 18 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be filled in 2.5 hours, gives the EV a driving range of 26 miles according to WLTP.
With a full tank and a full battery, the Flying Spur has an amazing combined range of 500 miles. A 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine and a single electric engine help to make 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque in the plug-in hybrid engine.
This is significantly less than the twin-turbo V8's 542 horsepower, but it's good for a 0-62 mph time of 4.3 seconds.
With more than 60 exterior colors to choose from, the Hybrid Flying Spur is much like the rest of the Flying Spurs. A wide range of options is available for the inside, including 15 leather colors, 8 veneers, and a variety of custom stitching options.
The UK and European customers may purchase the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid now, with further markets like China expected to follow next.
