Recently, Bentley announced their intention to do fully-electric models in the second half of this decade. The first EV will be a high-riding saloon – accommodated underfloor batteries - with EXP 100-GT-derived styling.
Adrian Hallmark, Bentley’s chairman says that a thorough study is needed on the customer and market segments for a successful product range adaptation.
Also, the team wants to focus on appealing to women, the future urban environment, and modern luxury values. Living in the era of constant technology development means that in the time frame set for the EV roll many things might change drastically.
So far Bentley wants the format, size, and naming to perfectly fit the product’s character. They are also predicting future 110-120 kWh batteries by 2025, which could offer a 400-500 km range.
