Aston Martin Doesn’t Want To Give Up Its V12.

In order to comply with strict emission regulations, many carmakers are forced to downsize their engines and go turbo. One of such companies might be Aston Martin with their beasty V12 engine.
The V12 that they currently use is being made in collaboration with AMG, but Aston Martin has the final say about the calibration and power. They are not going to use AMG's V8 engine but will take advantage of its electrical architecture and gearbox.
Astons brand communication manager, Matthew Clarke said that the company is planning on keeping the V12 for as long as possible, as the V12 is what makes the Aston a true Aston.
However, they will build a zero-emissions car RapidE - the electric version of the sedan and the DBX - an EV version of the coupe.
