Even the most professional racing drivers/tests experience bad luck sometimes. You saw earlier how a prototype Audi SQ7 came to be literally burst by the barriers, and now, another pilot named Walter Rohrl ends up "decorating" a Porsche 918 Spyder Weisach.
Former rally driver Walter Rohrl, stepped out on the wrong foot when he climbed behind the wheel of a hypercar 918 Spyder, which he chose for a spin on the Sachsenring circuit. Although it boasts a tremendous experience, having 75 appearances behind at the starting line WRC World Rally Championship, the German has shown us once again that no one is safe from accidents.
In an interview given to the publication AutoBild, Walter Rohrl confessed that he lost control of the car in an instant, slipping on the asphalt. He tried to reduce the impact speed and avoid the barrier but he did not succeed fully.
