General Motors has just published a sketch of a compact pickup truck on their official Instagram account, and this has led to speculation that they may be considering launching a smaller and more affordable electric truck in the US market.
Designed by Logan Phillips at GM, the concept depicts a car with a functional aesthetic. The single-cab truck has no grille in the front and cutting-edge LED headlights. It also has two doors with exposed hinges, boxy wheel wells, and a flat hood.
Despite the lack of logos, the drawing does show the vehicle's massive alloy wheels wrapped in sticky all-terrain tires. There have been rumors that General Motors is planning to release a compact pickup truck that runs on electricity and would be reasonably priced. A prototype of the vehicle was reportedly seen in Michigan at the GM Design lab, where its futuristic appearance was noted by onlookers.
