562 HP Is On Tap With The All-New Audi R8 Performance RWD
by AutoExpert | 7 October, 2021
Before, it was known as Audi R8 V10 RWD; today it's Audi R8 Performance RWD, which means that every R8 is a Performance model. Although the basic design remains the same, there are modifications aimed at putting Audi R8 model range more decisively in the leading position.
The 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, which is shared with the Lamborghini Hurácan, is unchanged, but now generates 562-hp and 406 lb-ft (an increase of 30-hp and 7lb-ft), allowing the new edition to accelerate to 62 mph in 3.7 secs and reach a peak speed of 204 mph.
A seven-speed S Tronic automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential transmit power, like before. The rear-drive Audi R8 is still available in coupé and convertible models, with weights of 1590 kg and 1695 kg, correspondingly.
Optional Dynamic steering for the R8 Performance RWD offers even more accurate response and feedback in turns and makes low-speed movements easier. Except for minor modifications in badging, Audi R8 Performance RWD is nearly similar to the four-wheel-drive Quattro range-topper. It has 19-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels, Nappa leather sports seats, Audi's 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit digital display, and color-coded sideblades as standard equipment.
Prices for Audi R8 Performance RWD start at £126,885 for the coupé and £135,575 for the convertible, and reservations will be processed beginning October 21.
