2025 Lexus RX Gets Bold With Limited Black Line Special Edition
by AutoExpert | 22 August, 2024
For 2025, Lexus is bringing a number of upgrades to the RX. The new Black Line Special Edition stands out for having an Incognito exterior with black 21-inch wheels with orange brake calipers. There will be a 500-unit North American production cap.
Lexus also introduced a F Sport Design trim level in addition to the new special edition. Specifically, the RX 350 and RX 350h are the only models that offer the F Sport Design trim. Upgrading to this trim adds F Sport-style elements, such as a new front fascia, grille, and rear valence, to the Premium grade.
The RX provides a wide variety of powertrains on top of seven different trim levels. Take, for instance, the RX 350, which features a well-known turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.
Just as before, the RX 350h's hybrid powertrain makes 246 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque. Alternatively, the RX 500h F Sport Performance boasts 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Lexus also has a plug-in hybrid, the RX 450h+. It features an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, three electric motors, and a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.
The vehicle can go 35 miles on electric power alone and has a total output of 304 horsepower. Pricing details for the 2025 Lexus RX will be revealed closer to its U.S. dealership launch later this year, but the previous model started at $49,950.
