At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) press day on January 4 in Las Vegas, the brand-new 2024 Volvo EX90 will make its debut appearance in North America. The U.S. market is already accepting pre-orders, and customers may begin customizing their vehicles this fall in preparation for early 2024 delivery.
Both of the EX90 models sold by Volvo are powered by a 107 kWh battery pack that can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in thirty minutes using a 250 kW DC charger.
Powered by a pair of electric motors, the base model generates 408 horsepower and 568 pound-feet (770 Nm) of torque; the Performance model ups those statistics to 510 horsepower and 671 pound-feet, allowing it to reach 62 miles per hour in only 4.9 seconds.
The EX90 places a premium on security. One long-range lidar, five radars, eight cameras, and sixteen ultrasonic sensors are included. The lidar, developed by Luminar, can detect tiny things up to "two football fields ahead," regardless of the time of day or speed.
The interior is equipped with a full range of technological amenities. These include a 14.5-inch central infotainment system that has Google embedded in it, allowing for the smooth incorporation of Google Assistant, Google Maps navigation, and a variety of applications. In addition, it works wirelessly with Apple CarPlay.
